Posture up fellas because you’re about to become El Matador! This smooth new intermediate Salsa pattern combines a number of beginner and intermediate steps into an elegant combo.
Your new combo this week is an advanced Salsa pattern we named the Vortex. The Vortex is a fun pattern that involves quite a few turns for both the guys and gals. The Vortex starts out with a hand toss and spirals into a series of walk-arounds, ending with a cross-body outside pivot for the ladies.
Ladies, it’s your time to shine! This new intermediate Salsa pattern is called “La Mariposa” (Butterfly). It’s the perfect way for you to spread your wings and glide gracefully across the dance floor.
This week’s new lesson is the Double Turn. The Double Turn is an exciting intermediate Salsa technique that should be attempted after you are comfortable with the basic turns from our beginner program. This move is exciting because it opens up the doors to a whole new way of interacting with the music – multiple turns.
